NAME: Mohammed Abdul
AGE: late twenties, according to the author
CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

CANON HISTORY: Summary of Stardust Crusaders Abdul's wiki page
CANON PERSONALITY:
Abdul gives off a strong first impression: he is serious, responsible, wise, and a confident mentor. This is not entirely wrong. He has made a reputation at a young age as a powerful Stand user and expert, and he fully embraces the responsibility that comes with the position. However, as one's Stand is the manifestation of one's fighting spirit and therefore somewhat reflective of their person, this is not all there is to him. Like the fire that represents him, Abdul is a warm, passionate person fiercely dedicated to his friends and what he believes is right.

He is a bit of a prideful man, rightfully so. As one of the most knowledgeable people on Stands during Part 3 - before villains started handing out Stands like candy - he has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders at a young age. This leads him to acting often as the serious voice of reason of the group, always thinking of what DIO's henchmen might be doing or how to reach Cairo within the 50 day time limit. In addition, he has a lot of intellectual interests such as reading.

Being a fortune-teller by trade, Abdul makes a living by reading people and guiding them through their future plans. Outside of that job, he's still one to listen to others and be a mentor. When fighting Jotaro so the latter would leave his jail cell, he does fight in the intent to injure, but he does so to teach Jotaro what Stands are and stops fighting once he's out of the cell. Like the fire he represents, he can be gentle and calming. He even has a bit of a soft spot for animals, being Iggy's primary caretaker and even naming his chickens that he raises - which is also talks to like children as he feeds them.

Abdul respects those who are honest and refuse to resort to dirty tactics in fights, as the main reason he spared Polanreff while the latter was under DIO's control was because despite the brainwashing, he kept to a strict code of chivalry. He threatens to beat up D'Arby when the latter reveals he cheated at games of chance in order to steal Polnareff's and Joseph's souls. He brings Jotaro, Iggy, and Polnareff to his side by showing mercy to them at the end of their fights. His reason to go on the quest to kill DIO is not out of a personal vendetta, but because DIO is a monster who only seeks power, and such an evil person must be stopped. The strong sense of justice is what drives him throughout the story. His extreme dedication to politeness does have humorous moments in canon, like getting nervous while chasing a female enemy into the women's restroom, and of course he spends a good chunk of the arc getting into embarrassing scenarios while screaming that he's doesn't deserve this and his character should play a different role.

While he does offer sound advice and grounding to the other Crusaders, this does result in a bit of an ego. Of course they should do as he says, he knows exactly what's best! He's an excellent Stand user, why shouldn't he be full of himself at times (according to Polnareff and Jotaro in separate occasions)? He can't help it, he always has to be the Mom Friend, both in being the person everyone must respect and in caring for the two teenagers of the group. While normally level-headed, one way for him to lose his cool is by people blatantly ignoring his orders, such as when Polnareff insisted that he go after his sister's murderer despite obviously walking into a trap. Thankfully, he has friends to hold him back from actually punching him.

Like the fire he represents, Abdul may seem serene on the outside, but that hides how emotional he is. He does make most of his decisions based on logic, but in the end, he is guided by how he feels. This is best shown in his final moments, where he just told Polnareff and Iggy that he wouldn't save them if they were in danger because killing DIO was more important than risking their lives saving each other. Once he notices a sneak attack coming from Vanilla Ice, he breaks that promise and pushes the two out of his Stand's way. In that split second, his gut instinct was to save others. Throughout Part 3, it's seen that Abdul is especially upset when bystanders are hurt. When Tower of Gray kills normal passengers on the plane just because it can, he almost sets everything on fire to stop it before Kakyoin holds him back. When the informant he hired to find DIO's mansion is killed, he takes it personally and blames himself for asking him in the first place.

Through traveling and helping the Speedwagon Foundation at times, he's seen a lot more than most men in their twenties, and thus has a large appreciation for other cultures. When in Japan, he takes care to observe local customs and is fascinated by the tea ceremony, and one of his favorite places to visit is the crowded and noisy streets of Calcutta. Despite putting on the face of an adult above the Crusaders' antics, he must love the vivacity of their presence considering how he's almost always smiling in the background. at their antics. Due to the serious nature of their quest and his need to appear in control, Abdul doesn't let himself relax and have fun as much as he wants, but when he does, he goes to extremes. The only time this is seen is with Polnareff, who is closest to his age, when saving him from Judgement. After spouting some cool one-liners and generally giving himself a "rad" persona, he encourages Polnareff to join him and play a crude prank on the enemy before finally defeating him. For fun. Abdul is a bit of a immature 12-year-old deep, deep down, but he doesn't let that side show for just anyone and anytime.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Mohammed's primary skillset is his Stand, which canon defines as the manifestation of one's fighting spirit. This normally takes the form of some humanoid creature - a firey birdman in his case - though it sometimes doesn't have a form or looks like a gun or other object. If a Stand is hurt by another stand, the user receives the same injury, and it's safe to assume that those that wield Stands can heal faster than regular humans. In addition, Stand users are "drawn to each other," and one must be a user to see Stands.

Abdul's stand, Magician's Red, gives him full control over heat and flame. He's mostly immune to fire, as required for someone with those abilities, and he can control multiple flames of multiple sizes defying the laws of physics. Canon name abilities include:

* Crossfire Hurricane - Sends an ankh-shaped fire projectile
* Crossfire Hurricane Variation - Creates a pillar of fire that tunnels underground and attacks an enemy at a distance
* Crossfire Hurricane Special - Sends multiple fire projectiles
* Life Detector - Sends out a fire compass that can detect heat signatures given off by living things.
* Red Bind - Wraps something in ropes of fire. They can be chosen to burn someone or just hold them in place.

His flames can be hot enough to melt metal, and said flames can also be used to dig holes. There's also useful benefits like having a lighter everywhere he goes.

Abdul has successfully disguised himself twice during the events of Part 3 (though it helps that the enemy believed he was dead at the time). He had disguised himself as his own father while in hiding and as a "wealthy Arab" to discretely buy a submarine for the group, and judging by how none of the villains were aware until he reveled himself, he's really convincing. Not only can he pick the right clothing and apply the right cosmetics, he changes his mannerisms and the tone of his voice.

Much of that comes from his skills in observing and interacting with people, related to his trade as a fortune-teller. It's not explicit whether his fortune-telling works (he's never seen doing any in canon), but considering the world of Jojo and its themes of fate, it's possible that he can predict some of the future. This is what he is known for among the non-Stand users in Cairo and how he makes a living, so he should be good at reading people and understand a variety of clairvoyant techniques, including the Tarot.

CHARACTER: AU SECTION
AU NAME: Mohammed Hefaz (meaning "protector" and in JoJo fashion, the name of a popular Egyptian singer)
AU AGE: 26
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: His hair is shorter and is worn as natural curls. He lacks the scars on his face and the scar from being stabbed in the back. He's also not buff as drawn in the comic - while still large, he's got less muscle mass from years of reading and studying rather than going on adventures.

AU HISTORY:
Mohammed Hefaz iwas born the oldest child in a well-off middle class family in Cairo. When he was 5, his family moved to the suburbs of Recolle to live with their relatives, though he has fond memories of the city he grew up in. Having visited Cairo a few times in the past, he loves the bustle of the big city, and he planned to live in Recolle when he got older. Reading and hearing about other places his father visited, his dream was to learn about as many countries and cultures and visit all of the important cities and landmarks in the world.

Without having been born with any supernatural power, Mohammed had a mundane life. He did well in school, considering that he loved reading and talking about what he learned. Relatives and neighbors considered him a gifted child and encouraged him to pursue further students and get involved in the community through volunteering at events. While reserved, he was an extrovert and enjoyed talking with adults and showing off just how good of a kid he was. Through this, he developed a rapport as an intelligent and mature youth, gaining some respect from his classmates but irritation from others. He'd been trying to appear humble, but as a top performing student, there was a sense that he assumed he knew better than most, but he was genuinely good with schoolwork and someone they could rely on, so it wasn't a big complaint.

Still, his family was proud of him, and when he went to Recolle University to major in History. To keep his focus on studies and extracurricular events, he didn't put too much effort in making a lot of friends. Mohammed felt that he had to maintain his image of an accomplished young adult who acted mature for his age, hiding his goofier side at all times. Ultimately, he had a group of classmates drag him to outings to force him to interact with people his age outside of a class setting.

After getting his BS in History, he got his Master's in Library Science, which meant he has less time free time. During his studies, he worked as a TA for a professor and got to know some of the younger students. Immediately after graduation, he worked at the Recolle History Museum as an archivist where he used to intern, focusing on old texts and helping out at the Art Museum at times.

He currently lives in an house with a Joseph Joestar (with player's permission), some other friends, and a couple of pets. In his spare time, Mohammed volunteers around the city, since it his favorite way to get to meet new people and feel good about himself. As an animal lover, he spent a lot of time at the animal shelter, where he ended up adopting four budgies. He dotes on them everyday and has a secret twitter where he posts pictures of them and gushes at how amazing they are. In addition, he managed to gain the grudging respect of a Boston Terrier named Iggy who used to hate every human that worked at the shelter, and his previous owner neglected him before it ran away and lived on the streets. Iggy still doesn't like most people, but since he does listen to Mohammed, he also was adopted.

He has a positive reputation among the adults in the neighborhood, so when the couple down the street suddenly found themselves in the care of a 15-year-old Guido Mista, he was one of the first people they asked to help take care of him. Mohammed had no clue about raising children, but he became a sort of uncle figure to the kid.

AU PERSONALITY:
Without having been born with a Stand, Mohammed's life is more mundane and free of life-threatening dangers. In this case, while he's still uptight and goal-focused, it's not to the same degree as in canon. It's easier for him to relax without the responsibility of being an expert on Stands and having many people depend on him. In addition, when his friends are threatened, he won't immediately resort to violence, but his temper well flare up.

Mohammed had no clue about fortune-telling, and thus any opinion on the nature of fate/destiny/good/evil will not be strong. He has no reason to commit himself to justice and protecting innocents, though it manifests as a strong interest in volunteering groups. He's a bookworm that likes to look academic and smart rather than wise and traveled.
